Life Requirements



“When we measure our well-being by the extent to which we maintain our requirements about the way we need to be or the world needs to be [in our own minds], then we are likely to be disappointed. And when we or the world fails to meet our requirements, then there’s a good chance we’ll react out of anger.”

I encounter this in my own life and with clients all the time.  Examining expectations or requirements we have about how life should be, how our relationships should be, how the other person should be acting, creates awareness of how we trip ourselves up in our relationships.
